help fill empty plates
$2.45 provides a single meal
$5 provides a family meal
$10 provides a family food basket
Now, at any of the participating stores and businesses throughout Central Oregon, you can select one of three coupon options which will purchase meals for others. The coupons are scanned and the amount simply added to your purchase total.
The full amount of collected donations is distributed to the Hunger Prevention Coalition monthly. In turn, every dollar raised through Help Fill Empty Plates is shared among our partner agencies.
Some locations offer placards with a QR code to scan from your smart phone. You will be directed straight to our PayPal® donation site. Make a donation while you wait at the checkout counter!
Every dollar raised through the Help Fill Empty Plates Program goes toward improving the quantity and quality of food donated in Central Oregon.

Become an HPC Partner retailer in just 3 simple steps
1. it’s quick.
Enter the barcodes on the three Help Fill Empty Plates coupons into your bookkeeping system with phrase such as "Hunger Donation". Place the Coalition POS placards with the coupons at the register. Customers will select coupons from the display that provide one meal [$2.45], one family meal [$5.00], or a food basket $10.00]. The cashier scans the coupon along with other items, and the tax-deductible donation is included in the customer’s bill.
2. it’s easy.
At the end of each month, participating stores send a monthly check for the totals raised to the HPC for disbursement:
Hunger Prevention Coalition

3. it works.
In the 2019 calendar year, the scan coupons generated $23,514 – every penny of which was used to purchase more nutritious food by food provider agencies in Central Oregon.
